There is a Recovery center of Wildlife. Here veterinarian take care animals in danger because they suffered accidents in Nature. When they are recovered they give them back to the Nature and if it is not possible to live in good conditions in the Nature, they maintain the animals in the mini-zoo.
We had a fantastic guide who explained us interesting facts about birds. He is the director of the mini-zoo and he worked next to Felix Rodríguez de la Fuente(the person who taught us to respect and love the animals though their teaching in his documentaries).
We learnt about owls, kestrels, vultures, quails, pheasants, emus, peacocks, partridges, ringdoves.....
The owls capture large number of rodents during night. They live in all Europe.
The male kestrels differ form the famale kestrels by their grey head and grey tail.
The vultures make a beneficial work because they prevent dangerous diseases spreading to humans and other animals.
The quails travel to Africa in winter.
Pheasants lay between 6 and 9 eggs and they are incubated during 25 days.
The emu is the largest bird in the world.
The peacock walk free in all the minizoo. In India it is a revered animal.
Ringdoves love acorns.
Partridges have decreased by the agricultural products used in the fields.
Listening to the guide.
Lovely pictures during the excursion.
What a lovely day we spent!
