PLAYING i SENT A LETTER TO MY LOVE
I SENT A LETTER TO MY
LOVE GAME
I Sent A Letter To My
Love
I sent a letter to my
love
And on the way I
dropped it
One of you has picked
it up
And put it in their
pocket
Is it you? Is it you?
Is it you? Is it you?
……….
INSTRUCTIONS
Children sit in a circle facing the middle. One
child walks around the outside of the circle while the others chant the poem.
Everyone chants “Is it you? Is it you?....” until the child chooses who she
will drop the handkerchief behind.
That child grabs the handkerchief and chases
the first child around the circle. The first child races to sin in the space
vacated by the seated person without being caught. If they succeed, the
children swap places. The child with the handkerchief walks around the outside
of the circle.
PLAYING HOPSCOTCH
HOPSCOTCH
MATERIALS: -a chalk
-a piece of brick (brickbat) or a flat stone.
EXPLANATION:
The players must throw a rock in a square (it starts
with the first), walk the drawing on one leg, from square to square. They
gather around the stone and leave the same way they had entered.
The square that has the stone can not be tread. Also
you lose if you step out of line, if you go or if you touch the floor with the
other foot.
If you lose when you start your turn in the same square you failed.
When a player has all the squares, he chooses and mark
one, the other players can,t step on
that square and you can rest there.

PLAYING "SOBRE"
‘SOBRE’
The
game:
Someone
throws the ball and says ‘sobre’ plus the noun of a boy or a girl. The named
person has to pick up while the rest of the children escape running.
If s/he
catches the ball in the air, s/he can throw it again and say ‘sobre’ and the
name of another boy or girl. When that third boy or girl catches the ball, all
the children stop. He or she walks three steps to get close to any child and he
throws the ball at him/her.
That child
can move any part of the body to avoid the ball except the feet. If the boy or
girl catches the ball in the air, or the child does not hit anyone, that letter
of the aforementioned word is given to the person who had thrown the ball.
YEAR 3 PLAYING ELASTIC BAND AND SKIPPING ROPE.
ELASTIC BAND OR RUBBER BAND
Materials:
A rubber
band of about eight meters long and 1 inch wide knotted.
EXPLANATION
Two players
are placed face to face inside the rubber.
The rest of
the players will take turns jumping. When there is a failure the player failed
will replace one that is inside the rubber.
It is
becoming more difficult because the rubber is held by the ankles, knees,
thighs, hips, waist armpits, neck and head above.
SKIPPING ROPE
We move the
rope side to side very soft. When the song finishes one player goes out and
another enters.
(al pasar
la barca).
SKIPPING
ROPE: WHOLE BACK ROPE (to follow).
Players go in
and out of the rope as it spins around their bodies, singing a song.
(Que entre el pelotón número uno, numero dos…)
They can
come in pairs, in group of three, four.
SKIPPING ROPE: DUBLES
The rope
turns completely , breaking in the last
two syllables of each verse of the song to tight the rope above the head of
jumpers, while they crouch.
(Al coherito leré).
A TRAVELLER BOOK OF TRADITIONAL GAMES
Children fron 3rd grade have made a lovely book collecting traditional games. These are some of the games their parents and granparents played when they were younger.
Actually we are noticing our children are using them more in the palygroud.
Here you ´ve got some examples.
