PLAYING "SOBRE"

‘SOBRE’

The game:

Someone throws the ball and says ‘sobre’ plus the noun of a boy or a girl. The named person has to pick up while the rest of the children escape running.

If s/he catches the ball in the air, s/he can throw it again and say ‘sobre’ and the name of another boy or girl. When that third boy or girl catches the ball, all the children stop. He or she walks three steps to get close to any child and he throws the ball at him/her.

That child can move any part of the body to avoid the ball except the feet. If the boy or girl catches the ball in the air, or the child does not hit anyone, that letter of the aforementioned word is given to the person who had thrown the ball.
